  1. Actually, I remember having some meds with both generic and brand name and some with just brand name. I would study broad for meds and the more popular meds. For instance, know your cardiac classes (beta-blockers, Ace, etc), your heparins, bronchodilators, etc. You may get meds you have never heard of too! Good Luck!
  2. Yes, please try to relax and so somewhere!! If you read my previous posts I was absolutely POSITIVE I had failed!!! I looked up tons of my questions that I could remember and new I missed many, easy ones I thought. Leave the computer and go do something. BTW, I passed with 75.
  3. Please try not to over analyze whether you passed or not. I agonized for 2 days. The worst thing I did was sit at the computer looking up answers and looking for people that had the same type questions, etc. My husband had to take away the computer and bring it to work I became so obsessive! I was as sure as I could be that I failed. Go out somewhere to help take your mind off of it!
  4. Wow, I just noticed all of my typos throughout these posts. Sorry I haven't slept in days. BTW, several people in my class that have had 76 questions have passed. Also, everyone that has had 265 questions have all passed as well as everyone with "odd" numbers has passed! 110, 86, 240, etc.
  5. I passed!!!! Please, have hope!!!! I was certain that I failed!!!!! I looked up everyone I missed. I had lots of the easier type questions (or at least I think they were considered easier). I didn't think I had that many priority and delegation which everyone says is a "good sign". I mean I had a bunch but most of the test was a blur. This has been the worse 2 days ever "knowing I failed". If your waiting get off these forums and go do something else because reading other's experiences will not help.
  6. I am stunned, I passed!!! I can't believe it, the worse 2 days ever!!!! I can finally sleep!!! What I have learned from this experience........Don't spend hours researching other people and their experience with the test. Don't go looking up answers. Understand you can still pass even though you missed "easy questions". Of course I thought my exam was difficult but I didn't think it was difficult enough to "pass". Thanks Everyone for words of encouragement and for those that are still waiting stop looking up other people who failed!!
  7. I feel the EXACT same way. I should find out this morning. It's been 2 days. I can't imagine waiting 2-4 weeks!
  8. I am soooooooooooooooooooo happy for you!!!!! I find out for sure Sat AM. I'm just curious.....Did anyone have any assessment questions or questions you thought may be the basic level questions???? I know I had a few and I know that is a bad sign..................... I'm so happy for everyone that has passed!! What an achievement!!!:wink2:
  9. I studied the NCLEX throughout my last semester of Nursing School. It was helpful for test doing the chapter you were currently on, like Cardiac, or something. However, I would defintely get a good prioritization and delegation book. I had many on my NCLEX but I most likely failed and I wish I had that type of book to help me better understand. Good Luck!!!
  10. Thanks!! That's what I'm hoping too!! I'm wishing everyone in my shoes so much luck. Ahhhhh, the agony!! I heard it would be horrible waiting but this is ridiculus! I hope all the one's we missed are the ones that get thrown out!!!!!! (And not the other way around, yikes!)
  11. If it makes you feel ANY better a friend of mine just past with 76!! She also swore she fail! I just keep looking back and think all the easy questions I know I got wrong! 2 of my friends say they felt the exact same thing but I don't think they got the easier questions like I did (I think they were just saying that to be nice, ya know!). Im thinking I just bombed it!! I'm at the oh-well point. I find out tommorrow for confirmation. Good Luck to you, let us know your hopefully good news!!!
  12. WoW, I'm praying that you guys pass!! I'm also struggling with the fact that I may have failed miserably. I keep telling myself, "Is it possible I actually missed sooo many it cut me off at 75?". I'm definetely not the best test taker but I'm not the worst either. I really think what may have messed me up was weeks and weeks after studying Saunders I tried a different book which I thought had much more challanging questions shortly before my big test. Answers I begin thinking were correct using ABC's were wrong! Saunders for the most part gives you enough information to reason out the correct answer. The NCLEX is much more vague. Wouldn't it be great if NCLEX had 2 right answers!! I also know I'll be the first in my class to fail!! Everyone will find out!
  13. Thanks for the encouragement. I guess I keep reading posts from NCLEX takers that received similar type questions and both have passed and failed. I let everyone know when I know!
  14. Here is the website for NCLEX 3500. It's free and they have lots of questions! http://198.146.4.5/nclexrn3500/mainMenu.do;jsessionid=78D87026BDB43AE42F8DEB0FC4F821C3 I guess I'll know Saturday when if I pass or fail.
  15. I took the NCLEX today and I just know I failed it. I understand that's how everyone feels when they leave but I looked up some answers on questions that probably should have been easy and got them wrong. Also, using the ABC stragedy just wasn't working for me. I got 75 questions, 3-4 sata's, no med calculations, several drugs with some I had never heard of, some disease processes, some psych questions, some prioritization, teaching and delagation and some infection control. Next time when I study will concentrate mostly on prioritization. I'm more upset that I have a job already but most of all I let down my family. I used Saunders to study (mostly the CD), Some of the Delmar's, and the free online NCLEX 3500. I thought Saunders was too easy and the questions were nothing like NCLEX. Can anyone reccommend good prioritization/delagation book? Thanks!
