Failed the NCLEX

I took the NCLEX today and I just know I failed it. I understand that's how everyone feels when they leave but I looked up some answers on questions that probably should have been easy and got them wrong. Also, using the ABC stragedy just wasn't working for me. I got 75 questions, 3-4 sata's, no med calculations, several drugs with some I had never heard of, some disease processes, some psych questions, some prioritization, teaching and delagation and some infection control. Next time when I study will concentrate mostly on prioritization. I'm more upset that I have a job already but most of all I let down my family. :crying2:

I used Saunders to study (mostly the CD), Some of the Delmar's, and the free online NCLEX 3500. I thought Saunders was too easy and the questions were nothing like NCLEX.

Can anyone reccommend good prioritization/delagation book?

Thanks!

Hang in there... I'm in the same boat. I just got home from the exam, and the computer shut off at 76 questions. I'll be able to get my results online on Monday. Let's just say that it's going to be a very loooooooong weekend!!

Good luck!!!

Keep in mind if you had 75 questions 15 of those DON'T COUNT. They're there as "test" questions for future NCLEXs. Chances are some of the questions you think you missed are some that don't even count :)

Crossing my fingers for you!!

If it makes you feel ANY better a friend of mine just past with 76!! She also swore she fail! I just keep looking back and think all the easy questions I know I got wrong! 2 of my friends say they felt the exact same thing but I don't think they got the easier questions like I did (I think they were just saying that to be nice, ya know!). Im thinking I just bombed it!! I'm at the oh-well point. I find out tommorrow for confirmation.

Good Luck to you, let us know your hopefully good news!!!

Thanks!! That's what I'm hoping too!! I'm wishing everyone in my shoes so much luck. Ahhhhh, the agony!! I heard it would be horrible waiting but this is ridiculus!

I hope all the one's we missed are the ones that get thrown out!!!!!! (And not the other way around, yikes!)

I just took my test Wednesday. It was the PN version. I had the max amount of questions- 205. I was SURE that I had failed and kept thinking- how am I going to pay the $200 again? If I don't pass I have to wait 45-90 days to re-take it. I have already started taking RN classes and if I don't make it will I get kicked out blah blah blah. Guess what? I passed!!!!!! :yeah: My friend who also passed felt the same way. It is so hard to know how you did. Please keep us posted! I wish you the best!

I am stunned, I passed!!! I can't believe it, the worse 2 days ever!!!! I can finally sleep!!!

What I have learned from this experience........Don't spend hours researching other people and their experience with the test. Don't go looking up answers. Understand you can still pass even though you missed "easy questions". Of course I thought my exam was difficult but I didn't think it was difficult enough to "pass".

Thanks Everyone for words of encouragement and for those that are still waiting stop looking up other people who failed!!

CONGRATULATIONS BUTTERFLY80!!!

More blessings to come this year for you and your loved ones :)

You are so right!!!!! You can compare yourself with others but in the end there is no way to be able to tell. I am SOOOO happy with you! What an accomplishment!!!!! :yeah:

Way to go butterfly 80!!!! This gives me hope as I'm still sitting by the computer waiting. Good Luck to all!

Wow, I just noticed all of my typos throughout these posts. Sorry I haven't slept in days.

BTW, several people in my class that have had 76 questions have passed. Also, everyone that has had 265 questions have all passed as well as everyone with "odd" numbers has passed! 110, 86, 240, etc.
