i finally got the job i have alway dreamed of! for a year i have been working as a contract employee for the prior authorization department of a well known insurance company. i got hired as a full time employee by that same company in october and have now finally got the chance to go home to work! :w00t: i start officially working from home next week after my home office has its assessment done. (they want to make sure i'm not working out of someone else's home). all i can say is "praise the lord!" and the best thing is, no one dies from any mistakes i might make. i love my job! and now i get to do it from the comfort of my own home!! sorry, just had to celebrate!

I'd give ANYTHING to be in your shoes....
I have been driving my sister's 14-year-old van since August, when the transmission went out on my car.
Yesterday the alternator broke on the van while I was working.
If we don't get it fixed today, I don't work next week...or any week.

you will love it. i'm another "real nurse" working from home. i work as a case manager for a national insurer, and i went home about three weeks ago. it does present it's own unique set of challenges, but as long as the good outweighs the bad, i'm happy!
i'm fairly sure that we work for different companies, so our processes differ, as do our roles, however, i'm sure there are also lots of things we have in common. feel free to pm me anytime...

I also work from home as a self employed case manager. I have worked full time as a self employed case manager for the past 9 years. Working from home has so many benefits! :typing

i am so jealous! congradulations and best wishes. happy holidays.
While there are nursing jobs you can do from home. It is probably easier to work from home if you are self employed. There are many self employment opportunities but there are also risk involved.

I hope you're not offended by this question, but is the pay comparable working out of the home. Will you state your salary?
