I just recently got a pair of Croc's. I have problems with plantar faciitis and sunken arches. I have to say that Croc's hurt my feet. I have heard so many good things about them on this board. Anyone out there having the same problem as me ?

I like the Corc's but I think if you have any sort of podiatry issue I would look into something with more support etc.

I love Crocs too but got a pair of MBT's and they have helped SOooo much! Was suffering with plantar fasciitis most of the year but the MBT's have totally helped. Worth the price tag, and if you look around you might even find a sale. I just got my 2nd pair.

I used to love my crocs too, but now I find they bother my knees. Don't know why, maybe just not enough support.
You know I notice that my knees "pop" a lot more when I bend low, I wonder if my crocs are the culprit?
Hmmm, might have to invest in new shoes when I get back from vacay. I was thinking about those ones from RedCross anyway.

Just had a podiatrist tell me they are great at first then the material gets compressed over 2-3 mos and you need to get new ones. Mine hurt now so I am looking into getting some Dansko Professionals. People rave about them.
Good luck!

Danskos provide a lot of support. I put Dr. Scholl's insoles in mine, though, because the footbed is really hard.

You're not alone! I had the same problem. I bought a pair of Crocs when they first came out, and found they KILLED my arches! I had been dealing from plantar fasciitis for over a year and a half, and thought maybe the Crocs would help. Felt like I had a couple huge lumps under my arches. 2 hours was about all I could tolerate at a time in those shoes. I thought maybe they just needed to be broken in a bit, but I finally gave up and went back to my Skechers.

I LOVE them, but I had to stop wearing them. The bottoms were getting worn down, and I slipped at work. I work with babies. Thank godness I was not holding one at the time. After that, I stopped wearing them to work.

crocs dont offer any support, and danskos are expensive! i bought clogz and they helped a lot. they feel like your bedroom slippers; like marshmallows w/ the support you need....and they come in wide sizes.

Crocs are being banned in my workplace due to several accidents. They are hopeless in wet areas, they have no grip and I don't feel safe anymore wearing them.
Birkenstocks are a good option. We don't have Dankso's here (i like the look of them though) they are more expensive than crocs but are so comfy and worth the money.
