We have them everywhere..

We have "big brother" everywhere too....inside, outside, and even one in our breakroom.

We had cameras at one building I ran. Half of them were fake. The other half was supposedly hooked up to video recorders to document everything going on. I called the ACLU and was told it was the owner's option and there was nothing we could do about it. We even had them in the break room. I found the whole thing to be degrading and insulting.

We have them. But wish they would put them on the med carts and in the med room to catch the nurses that steal meds.

...but no sound on the one in the med room...it's the only place I can let loose the naughty words I've been holding back all shift!

We all know cameras are everywhere, but for some reason in LTC they made you feel like a criminal and mgmt was so quick to remind us that they were always watching and waiting for nursing to screw up so they could screw up your life. It was one more insult thrown at LTC nurses. That whole mind-set in LTC was one of the major reasons I left.

thats the way they treat us at my job too. the DON is forever threatening "the administrator is watching!". so everynow and then....

We have cameras everywhere, but since the management doesn't have the time to do their own stuff, I can't imagine them having time to watch 24 videos of every camera. It's not something I worry about.

We have cameras are at our entrances. Maybe there are more. We have construction right now, anything is possible where I work. If they are really watching us they should be able to tell that we are working our butts off.

Yes, these are everywhere at our hospital! After 8pm at night, no visitor can get on our unit unless the security calls up to ask permission from the RN for the patient to receive a visitor (which they strongly discourage after visiting hours), then they have to be buzzed into our unit, but must be seen on camera and asked again for their name and who they are visiting.

Yes, we too have been threatened by management that we are 'being watched', but only after their was a chronic narcotic discrepency.....and eventually that RN was BUSTED!!!

I say, hooray for the cameras! Just smile and wave!
