Calm my nerves?

Hi fellow nursing students/nursing professionals,

Is there anything you take to calm your nerves or help your body handle stress?

Care to share?

God Bless you !

An adult beverage.

LOL!Well, maybe something that doesn't involve drugs and alcohol.

I work out. I'm a worrywart and stress easily so I work out 5/6 days a week. I am always in a great mood and so relaxed after a good, hard workout. :)

Make time to workout, even just 30 mins. I drink chamomile every night and take a hot bath on very stressful days. Vent your stress and then attack what's stressing you if you can (major exam coming up? Study now and feel a little better). Yoga is amazing too.

I really like Rescue Remedy, it has bach flowers, and it really works.

Meditation. Free, can be done anywhere, like anything else you get better and better at it the more you do it, useful in any sort of situation. Cranks up those endorphins, good for your head.

Yoga and massage work for me.

I read a good book. Or I eat candy. Whichever I can get to first. :p

Yoga and massage work for me.

I keep thinking about learning yoga. I realize that doesn't have quite the same effect...

YOGA..............makes me stronger...........try a couple different teachers...you'll find a style/teacher that works for you....

Clonazepam, yoga, and music work well for me lol.

A foot message, ice cream, hot bath, a good book, quilting, gardening, sitting in a park, movie popcorn, talking up a storm with a good friend over a cup of coffee, sleeping in, a good home facial mask, and watching an old movie... all by myself! :lol2:
