Back to Work !

I missed it too!!! I also needed a break from my honey!!! A small one floor home, two not so small adults and one 100lb German Shepard can make things VERY COZY after nine days!!! REMEMBER Absence makes the heart grow fonder!!!:heartbeat:chuckle:bugeyes::1luvu::lol_hitti

We actually had a snow day today! Extended vacation 1 more day. First thing tomorrow though, I have a meeting with the family of a student who was dx with type I diabetes over break.

Before the break, my mind set was "Working for Christmas Break." Now it is "Working for Summer!!"

The high school was actually quiet yesterday but the elementary school is busy today. I am trying to get get some projects finished up and transfer students "squared away."

I was really dreading coming back, but strangely, I am enjoying the kids today. I guess a break was just what I needed to get refreshed!

For those who have been following my saga about to stay or to go after this school year, due partially to my commute, you will be happy to know that my Christmas present was a much more fuel efficient car, so it looks like I am in it for the long haul!

I was just beginning to feel like I had got rich and retired! Then I looked at the calendar! Time to pay off Christmas spending. Would be nice to get a raise! But I am glad to be back in a nice job! :lol2:I see about 5 months left to this year! Hope everyone have a Great New Year! It's good to be back on here. I've been oh so busy with 2 teen boys and just life. Getting colder this week so it's time to dress in layers.

We came back yesterday, but our kids didn't come back till today. I am thankful for a great job, but I won't deny that I love the time off! :) so....9 weeks and 2 school days till Spring Break! In the mean time, busy busy making sure I get all my H&V for new kids as well as spinal screenings on 5th graders done.

Glad you're staying, Purple. It's great to have you around!!! I didn't start back till today because we were off yesterday due to the snow. Seems like the upcoming couple of weeks are all meetings. Met today with parents and student-student was diagnosed with type I diabetes over the holidays. He's nervous and scared. Fortunately, I got permission from 2 of my other diabetic kids to tell him about their disease and they are going to "buddy up" with him and encourage him. And who says high school age kids aren't nice!:heartbeat
