Apologies

I am new to this online world of talking on forums. I've made a mess of things, and I ask your forgiveness.

I'm not a 'troll' although that is a reasonably new term I've discovered.

I have lots of stories, some really difficult ones, but when/if I post them in the future, I will give much better background information.

I have worked with several US nurses over here in the school job, and they've been great. I have seen some cultural differences, not good or bad, just different, but we got on great, and keep in touch even though they're back in America.

So, again, my apologies for getting off on the wrong foot.

I never had to do anything as dramatic as that - think of a nurse on ski's who radios the real pro's when something happened. I was real good in the chalet dealing with the using coughs/colds and minor aches and strains.

Fortunately accidents weren't too bad, although we did have a group from Wales who's school teachers/chaperones refused lessons from us, and they had 9 broken bones in one week. Needless to say the following season they used our instructors.

Anyway, it was the best time of my life, and hence I made the effort to become a qualified instructor.

No longer intrigued. I'd rather be a ski patroller than that kind of a ski nurse.

I fail to see how this thread has anything really to do with actual nursing-related material. I will say the OP has a flair for the dramatic.

Well, that was the first line I thought of....

If everyone who saw that movie was honest . . . they'd say the same thing I imagine.

It's not worth it. I think I have some really interesting stories to share, but it's simply not worth it. I don't have a thick enough skin for this, although I now I have had such a response, I would like to continue. But at the end of the day, I might just keep my adventures to myself.

People will either believe or not, but you can post it and let others decide. You are not selling a story, just telling it. I'd like to read it. I understand there are cultural differences and I am sensitive to that. Now, if it's a wild story...I just move on and basically don't try to actually figure out if it is real or not. (not saying your stories, but any stories.)

So there was Liz Hurley, skiing badly, and here I was in my ski school uniform, and wanting to help her, and not help her at the same time. I said to myself 'That's so cheesy to help a famous person, I bet everyone hits on her. I don't want to be like a desperate fan.' So instead I skied up to her, and with thoughts of Austin Powers and her role in that famous movie, I waited for her to stop, then skied up close, and she looked me in the eyes as I said...

'Yeah baby, do I make you horny' - then turned my back on her and skied away, without looking back.
