I bought my '51 Chevy pickup in August 2009 and wanted to learn as much as I could about this antique truck, so I joined a website for collectors of antique Chevy pickups. The knowledge these collector/mechanics possessed, enjoyed discussing, and were willing to share in their interest was incredible!

I thought, "Where could I go where I could enjoy discussing and sharing something in which I'm interested?"

I remember the moment that I discovered allnurses, at work one night during a lull. Here were nurses, like and unlike myself, discussing a profession for which I had worked at for 30 years!

I felt an instant kindredship, joining immediately, and becoming a paying member, supporting the website, a year later. (I wanted to make sure my interest was not just a whim.)

It's been a great ride!

I've actually been here since 2008. Had to change my username due to an unfortunate outing. I'm old!

I've been here for 16 years! I joined in 2004, when I started nursing school.

I've been here since 2010. Came here for general camaraderie with fellow nurses and a fun way to connect with folks. It's not so fun anymore. I am also a member of another online group completely unrelated to nursing which is currently embroiled in the incendiary topic of China deploying 100,000 ducks to Pakistan to fight a plague of locusts (chickens can't eat them fast enough). I may need a permanent hiatus from the internet.

I have been here since August 2005! ?

I've been here since 2008 in some form or another. I graduated from nursing school in 2010. This is my third personality, because I always end up saying just a little bit too much.

I've been here since 9:00PM

Has the world gone mad?!

At 9 pm my alarm had not yet gone off. Then I got up 25 minutes after the alarm and went to work. Patient sleeping away! Yes, I wonder about the chickens in Pakistan. Hope those locusts are tasty.

I wish I was making it up but no. Yes, the world got turned upside down and we've all gone nuts.

Chinese ducks eating Pakistani locusts ... all of a sudden, everything in my life feels much lighter.
