Jan 4, 20188 yr Guides Now that everybody wants one, you're feeling the pressure! lolReminds me of when I was a kid, as soon as the other kids in my class found out I could draw, I'd get stacks of paper handed to me with the plea, "Hygiene, draw me something!". Problem was that the pressure was too much and I'd never produce a single drawing. I'd totally pray the kids would forget they asked. By the end of the year, I'd have stacks of free paper in my desk, which I greedily kept. Apparently, the only kind of artist I was was a con artist and drunk on all the Mead I acquired, lol.

Apparently, the only kind of artist I was was a con artist and drunk on all the Mead I acquired, lol. Thanks for sharing that story, Hygiene Queen! My first big professional art job was at First Night back in '95 drawing caricatures. I believe I was making about $16.50/hour working as an RN and I made $33.00/hour as an Artist! My head swam thinking I could do something I loved and get paid well for it.At the beginning of First Night, I interviewed the Children and found out what they liked to do, or a favorite pet and draw them in that sort of setting. After doing several caricatures, I really got into the fun and excitement. I was assigned a helper who interupted me while doing a drawing saying, "I think you'd better step it up a bit". I looked up from my drawing to see a long, long line of People waiting to have their caricature drawn...Now that everybody wants one, you're feeling the pressure! lol..Then, I felt the pressure! It got to where I was mass producing stick figures!
Jan 4, 20188 yr Author Experts Ooooh! What a fun thread! What can you do with with 'Ruby Vee'?Some time back, you made a post on overhearing some nursing students talking about AN.com and mentioning your username. Farawyn made comment that wouldn't it had been cool if you could have gone up to them and say "Hi. I'm Ruby Vee". I followed Farawyn's comment up with a cartoon of a personified ruby-colored "V" sticking out its hand and saying "Hi... I'm Ruby Vee".
Jan 4, 20188 yr Experts I noticed the thread with your "hare" getting washed disappeared and I liked it. Could you repeat the pic just for gp? Or was that considered "hare abuse" and reason for the thread to be pulled?
