Good luck to all about to step into the gauntlet we all know and love... FINALS! Time to find your studying "hideout" and get intimate with the books.
15H/wk. of class
+30H/wk. slinging coffee @ Starbucks
+20H/wk. of studying

Thank goodness I'm not a husband or daddy. I don't know how some of the older ladies with kids do it -- very impressive!
There but for the grace of God, go I.

older ladies? lol
Love the Starbucks weekly time allocation! :) Our town blessedly just got a nice little Starbucks take out stand right on the way to school. :wink2:
Guess it depends on what all you have on your plate. My heart goes out to single parents who don't have help, for sure. My son (age 5) is pretty terrific about my schoolwork. This semester, he loved to watch my telecourse videos (psychology and govt), and listen to me read out loud from my textbooks. He'd curl up with me often and "study". Of course he didn't fully understand, but he'd stop me here and there, and I'd define words in ways he *could* understand. He learned all sorts of things, what a stroke is, what a brain looks like, what "deja vu" and a ton of other strange vocabulary words meant. Big people words! So, having the kiddos underfoot while studying isn't probly as bad as you might think, I know I've learned to focus through ninja-wars (or whatever it is he's doing, lol) being fought out under my feet, and learned a few tricks for "refocusing" after interruptions. Not to mention other household members are invaluable. As long as everyone's committed to the idea, daddy's and grandma's really help.

Yes - LOL @ "Older Ladies". I'm 33 - not that much older than you Got 2 kiddos, 9 & 7 and they are counting the days until my finals are over - believe me. Fortunately, I do have a loving husband that is my solid rock when I am stressed out - though his bones are weary from working himself to death to support us while I'm in school.
I don't much like Starbucks - or coffee period...I'm resorting to chocolate and hiding from my Weight Watcher meeting :rotfl: Seriously, I have been maintaining through the holidays and finals and that in itself is something to be proud of.
Good luck to all as we enter this "wonderful time of the year" - and I'm sure not talking about the holidays sweetheart!

Med/Surg is really interesting, but the tests they threw at us stunk.

Today was supposed to be my last final, but b/c of snow days Monday will be. On Tuesday I'm treating myself by sleeping in and going to the day spa!

Well, for me it would have to be:
6 bottles of Coors light
1 bottle of motrin
1 bottle of Vitamin C
1 husband to take care of the kids so I can enjoy the younger man! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm not one of the "older ladies", but I am a few years older. :) My husband does help out around the house much more than the "typical man" does. So, I'm very lucky.
I don't have finals right now b/c I finished my last class early (online), but I'm about to start a winter-mester Algebra class. My break has been enjoyable, but still consisted of studying (Algebra). No rest for the extra determined. lol
Good luck to you all.
