Credit where credit is due. I would still be looking to see what the quid pro quo is, as he is notoriously transactional.
Dec 20, 2025Dec 20 Nice work, President Trump! "After four years of the Biden administration deliberately exacerbating the crisis, while claiming it could do nothing, the Trump administration has managed to cut fentanyl trafficking in half and bring down border crossings 93% year-over-year. Best of all, the Trump administration located more than 120,000 of the missing children trafficked under Joe Biden. And that is only the beginning of this year's accomplishments for federal immigration enforcement officers, according to a Dec. 19 DHS press release.” https://pjmedia.com/catherinesalgado/2025/12/20/border-crossings-down-93-fentanyl-trafficking-cut-in-half-n4947321
Dec 23, 2025Dec 23 Expert Nice work, President Biden TRIPLING fentanyl trafficking convictions from 2020 to 2024 per the US Sentencing Commission 2024 Fact Sheet. Most concerning is that 83.5% were U.S. citizens doing the trafficking, punisment increased from 61 to 74 months...
Dec 23, 2025Dec 23 Yes but how did the drugs get into the US to begin with. These were mostly border states plus Oregon. Makes sense that more drugs coming across the border equals more trafficking. Not sure I would be bragging about that as a win for Biden.

He will also ask Congress to pass legislation to create a nationwide registry of pill press machinery that could be used to produce the drugs, raise penalties on traffickers, regulate some fentanyl-related substances more stringently and require importers of small packages to provide more information to customs officials.... As part of an effort launched last year to thaw icy relations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Biden agreed to cooperate with Beijing on counter-narcotics. A delegation of senior Chinese officials was set to meet the Biden administration on Wednesday to continue conversations on increasing controls on fentanyl chemicals and restricting financing for the drug trade in China....

The trend started way before the administration announced actions they were going to take. Maybe things he did helped, but the evidence isn't too convincing.
Dec 24, 2025Dec 24 Expert My state Senator Casey very involved in fentanyl legislation so I may be more aware than others in Bidens fight against fentanyl deaths. And the people bringing it into the country are native born Americans.

I didn't say it was or wasn't Americans. The point is the drugs are coming across the border! And, because of the fact that the border was not controlled during the Biden administration that allowed more and more drugs to be smuggled across the border. So the way I see it the Biden administration intentionally left the barn doors wide open and then pats itself on the back for rounding up some of the horses. ICE is working on the drug smuggling problem (which is good) but I also think the problem runs deeper and needs more attention. https://www.ice.gov/about-ice/hsi/investigate/narcotics-smuggling

What you have is that convictions for fentanyl related crimes is up. That doesnt show us anything. And then shared links to White House releases and news reports on what they planned to do. I did a deeper dive. The kind you could have done to credibly make your proclamation. As it turns out, there is some progress on turning around the fentanyl crisis. Such as overdose deaths are down. There are several theories as to why. And Biden might be partly responsible for some of it. Maybe you'll do your own research next time.
