Nice work, President Biden TRIPLING fentanyl trafficking convictions from 2020 to 2024 per the US Sentencing Commission 2024 Fact Sheet.   

Most concerning is that 83.5% were U.S. citizens doing the trafficking, punisment increased from 61 to 74 months...

Yes but how did the drugs get into the US to begin with. These were mostly border states plus Oregon. Makes sense that more drugs coming across the border equals more trafficking. Not sure I would be bragging about that as a win for Biden.

    Hmmm, a PR press release in April of 2023 and an article written in August of 2024.  The trend started way before the administration announced actions they were going to take. 

    Maybe things he did helped, but the evidence isn't too convincing.

    My state Senator Casey very involved in fentanyl legislation so I may be more aware than others in  Bidens fight against fentanyl deaths. In my area mixed with Xyline, many news articles re  havoc this combo has created --Philly doctors had summit in 2024 to identify effective detox, pain mgmt along with wound care treatment.

     Here's some earlier info on Bidens efforts to curb/stop Fentanyl flow  to support 1st post today on topic.   Biden Admin focused on "harm reduction" to citizens.  Naloxone became widely available in the United States in 2023 when the FDA approved it for over-the-counter sale --demonstrated to reduce overdose deaths.

    What difference does that make. I didn't say it was or wasn't Americans. The point is the drugs are coming across the border! And, because of the fact that the border was not controlled during the Biden administration that allowed more and more drugs to be smuggled across the border.
     

    So the way I see it the Biden administration intentionally left the barn doors wide open and then pats itself on the back for rounding up some of the horses.

    ICE is working on the drug smuggling problem (which is good) but I also think the problem  runs deeper and needs more attention.

    Oh, so you're saying it never occurred to ICE to investigate narcotics smuggling until Trump came into office, then they quit while Biden was there, and then like magic, they started up again.

    You're all over the place trying to show the fentanyl situation improved under Biden and that if so, he had anything to do with it.

    What you have is that convictions for fentanyl related crimes is up.  That doesnt show us anything.  And then shared links to White House releases and news reports on what they planned to do.  

    I did a deeper dive.  The kind you could have done to credibly make your proclamation. 

    As it turns out, there is some progress on turning around the fentanyl crisis.  Such as overdose deaths are down.  There are several theories as to why.  And Biden might be partly responsible for some of it. 

    Maybe you'll do your own research next time.
