Trump likes to brag about his crowd size, and he's really going to see a crowd in a few days. Republicans are so worried they are calling it the Hate America rally. I am looking forward to it. I hope there are lots of inflatables. If Trump were a king, would these protests be happening? ?

Are you that in thrall with having a monarch? We have one here you could have - Charles III is respected.

You've in the past admitted to being a little tipsy when posting here. Is that what's going on now?

You must have done a fair bit of trawling to find that, it was a few years ago and it was only once. Do I get under your skin that much? Are you going to charge me rent for living inside your head? Rather than give a rebuttal you try to demean me and trivialise my comments.
Oct 15, 2025Oct 15 Beerman said: If Trump were a king, would these protests be happening? ? It's the most American of all things to protest. I don't think Grumpy on the other side of the world gets things the way we do that are here in the midst. Republicans I think are desperate to rebrand it as "Hate America Day". Here's what the Speaker said "“Let's see who shows up for that, I bet you see pro-Hamas supporters. I bet you see antifa types. I bet you see the Marxists in full display. The people who don't want to stand and defend the foundational truths of this republic, and that's what we're here doing every single day." https://www.Yahoo.com/news/articles/republicans-t-stop-whining-no-163102067.html The one I attended here was like the article stated. Very tame and comprised of mostly middle aged people protesting Trump's authoritarian-ish ways. Obviously it did no good as he continued upon his way supported by the speaker and seems to have asserted his authority even more. I don't think that we're headed for an actual civil war, but the devisions in the country just keep getting deeper and deeper. Trump is no help, for example saying he is going to lay off federal workers in "Democrat Agencies", whatever that is, but it wound up being people that have bi-partisan support, or his many lies about the shutdown and the blame game, and the courts are stopping him because he's not a King.

I just have a memory. And, how could I trawl for something unless I knew what I was looking for. Maybe it was only once, but I suppose it sticks when I so often, over years now apparently, thought that must be an explanation for what I was reading. And, still you havent answered the question. Deflection. You know, what you accuse me of. GrumpyRN said: Do I get under your skin that much? Are you going to charge me rent for living inside your head? Hardly. But if it gives you pleasure to think that, no skin off my nose. GrumpyRN said: Rather than give a rebuttal you try to demean me and trivialise my comments. I addressed your comment. I didn't realize it wasn't clear. No I don't think the protests on Saturday are the beginning of a revolutionary war with Trump being removed as a result of them. Radical leftist lunacy... Really? You're the one going to complain about demeaning and trivializing comments?

He wanted to shoot protesters in the knee during his first administration. He has his anonymous thugs detaining citizens and legal residents for saying mean things. They fired pepper balls at the head of a clergyman who was praying.

Thus, he signs executive orders that are written for him, his toadies carry them out, while congress and the supreme court sit by and allow it.

I tend to be a rather sarcastic person, and that is difficult to detect in written form. In person, one can pick up tone, and nonverbal cues like eye-rolling. But I truly do believe that Trump is deteriorating, mentally, if not physically. I wonder at what point, if any, those around him will step in. And who would it be? Susie Wiles?
