If you've taken classes at Shoreline or Tacoma Community College please respond: I'm taking Chem 131 next quarter and then I'll be doing A&P 241 in the Spring. I'd like to get a medical terminology class under my belt before getting into A&P but Olympic College isn't offering one so I decided to do the online class thing. I've never taken a class online and I feel a bit apprehensive about it. I've heard negative feedback from someone at highline who said her instructor never responded to her emails and that she didn't learn anything from the class and she blamed the format and said she wouldn't do it again. However that's just one person's experience...So I signed up for a 5 credit class with Ostrander at Shoreline it's 100% online. Then today a course just opened up at TCC for a 3 credit hybrid class, it meets on Saturday for an hour and a half and the rest is online. The instructor is Gray. Since this is an elective I don't know if I need a full 5 credit class. I don't want to overwhelm myself. Also it seems that Ostrander is pretty involved at Shoreline whereas Gray is listed in Justice and Human Services not in Medical... also there are no books listed for any of the Med terminology classes at TCC -Shoreline has them all listed. Shoreline seems a little more organized and on board with the online program. Any thoughts???

I took most of my nursing pre-reqs online at TCC (excluding the lab classes of course). I found TCC's online courses really easy...but of course its all about the work load and instructors. TCC is good.

TCC online courses are easy-peasy! I took Med Term a while back and got a 4.0 as usual. Good luck

Who did you have for Medical Terminology. I'm signed up for an instructor whose last name is "Gray". The class is a hybrid so it meets once a week and then is supplemented online.
