Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center?

U.S.A. Washington

Hi there,

I'm a new grad from CA, and I will be interviewing next week for a part time position on a cardiac floor at Scared Heart. I was wondering if anyone had any info about how good of a hospital it is, starting RN pay, how the area is in Spokane etc..

Thank you so much in advance,

Nicole

Sacred Heart is a great place to work. It's the largest of the 4 hospitals in Spokane. The pay for new RN's starts at $27.89, and it's not easy to get an interview, especially as a new grad. Count yourself lucky! There are 6 nursing schools in the greater Spokane area and plenty of the new grads around here would love to work at SH. The area is nice, we have 4 seasons and a lot of outdoor recreational activities. I moved here 8 years ago from the Seattle area and I find Spokane has a small town feel in comparison, which I like. The cost of living is reasonable as well.

Thank you so much! They had me fly up for the second interview a couple of days ago, and by all accounts the manager sounded like she was basically offering it to me on the spot. So, I'm expecting an official offer from a recruiter next week. The manager recommended looking for an apartment in South Hill or anywhere above 19th around the hospital. Are those the safest/nicest areas?
