Hey there! After waiting so long and trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, I realized I want to be a nurse.

I'm going to Shoreline CC this year to get pre-req's to be a nurse.... As a number of people I know went to nursing school I had no idea until recently that it was so competitive. This isn't a problem, as I'm a naturally competitive person and strive to be the very best at what I do whether it's work, school, etc.

Because I can't afford to be in school forever, I'm doing my pre-reqs at Shoreline, and then plan to apply to the Shoreline Nursing program. They only accept 33 applicants each quarter so the chances of me being accepted are slim regardless of what I do to get the points needed....

So my question is: Would it be totally weird to get my pre-reqs at Shoreline and then apply to other CC's nursing programs like NSCC/BCC or EvCC? Is that a normal thing to do?

Thanks so much!

Not at all! I took most of my pre-reqs at BCC and applied to Highline and TCC. No problem getting accepted. You just have to make sure that the courses you are taking are the equivalent at the other CC. Good luck!
