Has anyone applied to Southside Regional Medical Center RN program for 2015??

Yes I did. They put me on their alternative list.

I have nothing nice to say about the Nursing Program at Southside Regional Medical Center and this recent history needs to be known. My wife had in High School Perfect Attendance K-12 never missing a day of school in her life. In addition she achieved a perfect grade point, National High Honor Roll and was Valedictorian. She recieved a full ride scholarship to a prestigious women's University and attained Bachelors having Majors in Sociology and Anthropology.

When her mother got sick she humbles herself and becomes a CNA and works in a nursing home only to learn how to best take care of her at home now crippled mother when home.

When her mother goes into a nursing home she moves to N Dinwiddie where nearby her family lives and her family tree and history predates the Revolutionary War. She gets hired at SMRC back in mid 2002, she works as a CNA getting paid dirt wages over on 4 west and the first nearly 7 years has perfect attendance at SMRC.

When the kids are grown takes all perquisites needed for SRMC Nursing School because she wants to be a RN. Early while working on 4 West at SMRC she crossed trained as Unit Secretary and was a EKG Cardiac Monitor Technician.

Fully qualified with now over 12 years of medical experience, 9 years at SRMC she put in her application NOT Once, NOT Twice, BUT 3 TIMES during the next 2 years to SRMC Nursing School and was denied all three times but not without them taking her application fees.

I'm a retired business owner that married this most beautiful woman in the whole wide world and we are now married over 3 years. Had I been married to her during this disgraceful time period in her life this would of never happened because I would NEVER of stand for it. In my investigation I was told my wife was "to valuable to the floor" and someone on that floor with long time history in Petersburg made sure she was not accepted into their nursing program.

Being in a interracial marriage I'm discussed at this school that continually displays a bigoted attitude towards the population of the Petersburg community and their ratio of students that DO NOT REFLECT the population of the community in Petersburg. But I guess that's why soon in 2015 they are moving to Colonial Heights. Not only that they go further as not to hire new grads from Virginia State that just passed their NCLEXS.

Today I hold no ill will towards them I actually feel sorry for such a pitiful organization, and my wife well she would be mad at me for going on the record with this. But I refuse to bury history in the hopes that it doesn't repeat itself. I ended up sending my wife to a private school called South University in Richmond and she attained her BSN-RN degree after a $54,000.00 investment. Today my wife still works at SRMC and now in the 28 bed ICU department. After a recent interview with CHS, SMRC parent company and when she is done with her Masters program my wife is looking forward to relocating where CHS needs her And she will be in a position to implement changes.

I have been wait listed by this school 3x in a row. I just want to know what does this school rank their admission on. Gpa, teas, or what.
