Salary Expectations in Roanoke/Lynchburg

I've seen the numbers on Salary.com, and they seem high to me for 'median' salary. But then again the numbers for south Florida look inflated to me too compared to what I make as a new grad (Dec. 2006). Can I really expect a significant increase when I finish my first 1 1/2 years, and go to VA with experience? Break it down for me please...what can I expect to make in Lynchburg/Roanoke in Trauma/ER after 18 mo's experience? Thanks!

Better yet, is there a good place for people to look at nursing salaries, by specialty, in different parts of the country? I did a search and see a lot of salary question for a particular state or specialty.

Also, I don't really know how accurate salary.com is. I looked up my own job and I must say it's not very accurate. A little on the high side.
