How long for Illinois license?

Anyone know how long it takes to get your Illinois license? I'm planning on traveling there at the end of July, but don't have my contract lined up yet, and I don't want to apply until I know FOR SURE that I'm going there.

Apply early! While Nursys is actually in Illinois, Illinois is not part of Nursys. Right now I am waiting for verification of my license from Illinois as it is my original state of licensure, and it's going on four weeks now. I did call them and was told that right now it is taking anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks! Good luck.

I don't know where you are, but my advice on getting your fingerprints done is to find a place in IL that does the livescan. I received my license from IL in 3 weeks, would have been about 2 if I had done livescan from the begining. Also, I went to RN school in IL, so I don't know if that sped up the process or not

If I recall it took me at least a month to get licensed in IL
