Is it possible to ONLY work in ortho as a travel nurse? My two years of experience will only be in ortho. It's what I know AND what I like. Just curious. THANKS!

No one has any thoughts?!?!?!

It will limit your options if you say you will only work ortho. How about expanding it to tauma/ortho or med/surg/ortho? By specifically limiting yourself to ortho units, you will not have many options for places to go. Ultimately though, you do have the decision to tell the travel company that you only want to work ortho units.

I work on an ortho/uro med/surg unit now. A large portion of our patients are ortho trauma patients, but I know very little about neuro patients. Of our 25 beds, we rarely have more than five medicine patients (typically less than three). I'm simply not comfortable working with, say, GI patients. Ultimately, I guess it cannot hurt to register/interview with three reputable agencies and see what happens. I'm applying to graduate school for September, but I'm keeping ALL my options open.
