I've also been accepted to Midwestern so I'm not sure where to go. Does anyone know anything about either school?

Hello everyone.Congrats to those who made it into the program. I will apply to the accelerated program next year. I need to take some of the prereqs. I would like to know what yall did to prepare for the TEAS V. Maybe I can buy your study material. I will be in Tyler in 2 weeks to meet with an advisor. I will be taking my prereqs at Brookhaven College. Any advice will be appreciated.
    Hope to hear from someone.

Hello hopeful_st. I was wondering how you prepared for the TEAS. I would like to get an idea of how high my gpa needs to be. I am planning to apply for the accelerated program.

UT Tyler's NCLEX pass rate average is ~94 in 5 yrs, whereas Midwestern averages ~82. UT Tyler has a larger student population than Midwestern, but Midwestern is a little bit cheaper to go to (but they're relatively the same). I don't know much more than that.

I bought the TEAS V study manual from atitesting and it helped me a lot. I studied one section at a time and I made sure to do the practice tests that are in the book. You will not have a calculator when you do your TEAS so be sure you can do Math/Science problems without a calculator. I already sold my study manual but you can find them online pretty easily.

No it has like 4 members.

And honestly I didn't really study for the teas. I probably should have. I did okay but Im sure I would have done wayy better if I studied. I bought the study manual but only read through it once or twice. Study that and you should be okay. I think your points or grades matter more than anything though. Just my thought.

I initially took the TEAS for TWU so i bought the book that my TWU advisor recommended. I still have it if you need it... It was a lot harder than I thought and time was a BIG issue, so pace yourself. I would even take one of the practice test's online, I feel like that would have prepared me better. I didn't do so great on the TEAS but my grades are good. So like hopeful said, I think grades matter the most esp. your sciences.
