TCC Study Tips

Hey Everyone!!

I am in my first semester at TCC and need help on study tips!! I made a 78 on my exam yesterday which partially was because I didn't take my time. I would have made an 86 if I slowed down. I am used to getting A's and I know that Nursing School is different, but can anyone who goes to TCC tell me what they found to be successful study tips? Thanks for all of the input! :)

I am an adult student at TCC and all I can say is read your material, study your power points or lecture notes and find someone who you trust and who you are comfortable with to study with. I know for me last semester and this semester it has worked. A 78 is a good grade. Don't let yourself get so down. I managed to pass theory with a B and I was very happy. Thank you!! It has been an adjustment, but I hope with time I will get more adapted to the workload. We got lucky and our professor added 4-6 points to everyone's exam grade! I guess it was due to the questions being missed by most of the class. I was relieved over that one!:D A B in foundations is great! Way to go! I am hoping to pull of a B as well. Good luck to you in Adult. How is it so far?

Adult is tons of fun for clinical and theory is just as much work as foundations with a little faster pace. It is divided into 4 sections Diabetes/Respiratory, Cardiac, GI/GU, and Ortho. So 4 weeks for each section to learn all the meds and each area inside and out. I love it though. Keep your head up and stay on top of things, don't be afraid to ask questions.
