  1. 0
I was wondering if anyone is applying for Prairie View A&M Nursing program for Spring 2013. I have seen previous application cycles but none for Spring 2013. If you are applying or previously applied I would love to hear from you.

Hello peaches1018.. I applied as well. Another forum has been created for the PVAMU spring 2013 applicants but its not very active.. We are really thinking that alot of people did not apply or maybe not aware of allnurses..

Btw, I'm behind on my application.. Just received my evaluation from Ms. A yesterday.. Still have to take HESI, which is next week..

How far have you gone on yours?

Wow...I tried looking for a forum but didn't find one. It's nice to hear from you. I actually finished my entire application a couple of months ago. I took the HESI in June.

ohhh awesome.. I wish i'm you.. I've been so stressed out with applying and making sure everything is in before the deadline..

I'm kinda freaked out about the HESI.. I've heard alot of different stories regarding the exam.. some said its easy while others said its super hard.. From studying, i don't think its gonna be that bad.. The only problem i might have is A&P. What is your saying on HESI esp. A&P section?

Btw, are you on the forum for UTHSC for spring 2013?

Well I didn't think the A&P was hard and I took A&P I and II 4 years ago. I mainly studied the critical thinking section that is required for UT Health Science Center Houston. I scored a 96% on the A&P. I have you taken A&P already? And are you talking about UTHSC for Houston forum?

Yea.. I took both A&P 1 and 11 in the summer.... Alot of things are still fresh.. Yea I mean UTHSC in houston.. I also applied there.. I've been on their thread and alot of folks on there have great stats.. My stat is good but not has good as those pplz on there.. I have a way better shot in getting into PV, well it all depends on my HESI scores..

Yeah I applied to Prairie view and UT Houston also. I'm sure you will do great on the A&P section since you just took it. Im trying not to worry so much myself. I kinda worried about my stats too

    Here's my update so far:

My application was completed in July. According to PV my GPA is 3.71 and my HESI scores are:

    Overall: 93%
    Reading: 96%
    Grammar: 92%
    Vocab: 88%
    A&P: 96%
    Math: 94%
    Critical Thinking: 830

I also have a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M-Kingsville and worked as a pharmacy technician for 5 years. I haven't really heard anything from Ms. A in a while. I already sent in the purple form last month. I did however ask Ms. A a couple of day ago when letters would be sent and she said by Oct 31st
