U.S.A. Texas

Hello just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to navarro college adn program for 2015

You may qualify for grants and tou can always apply for scholarships. My mom took out loans and will have it paid back in 5 years. And she only makes the minimum payment. You'll be fine. The grants and loans really do help

Hello ladies!! For the longest time I've read the nurses blog on here & now it's our turn to apply, pray & panic (; I'm so excited! Can I ask what you scored on the teas the second time?? My friend just took it and said it was brutal (yikes). I am taking my first one on the fifth and then will schedule a second exam if I don't ace it.

I'm actually a guy lol. But thanks for commenting I'm excited to hear everyone's story and how they are coming along to hopefully one day all be RN's. I too have read all the other threads from past years and it seems pretty nerve wrecking enduring "the wait" after you apply. The teas SUCKED! I made a 78 on the reading portion and was considering taking it a 3rd time. But I think with my grades and gpa I should be good to go.

I knew as soon as I posted "ladies" there would be a guy there lol. Sorry! Third time's a charm(:

Lol its cool, you didn't know. And yeah I still don't know if I wanna go retake it? If you don't mind once you take the teas to post your results! Also do you have everything else you need to apply? Background checks, shots, pre reqs?

I have to wait a period to get my other shots. All non nursing classes will be done spring semester. I have only ten days to study but will do as much as I can! I am very nervous. How much harder is teas compared to accuplacer? You have to schedule an appointment with Stroud for fingerprinting to be sent off. That's all we are supposed to do until they reply with the blue card right? I know I will need a declaratory order from BON (over something stupid) but that is what I'm really worried about. I should apply with about 120 points!(:

I also will have all my non nursing courses done after spring semester. The teas is way harder than the accuplacer. Or at least to me it was.. and yes I believe that's all we have to do. I've already done the fingerprinting with Ms stroud. All im waiting on is after this winter mini mester is over to get my transcript and then submit my application. How did you figure your points? Do you have a health care certification and navarro county residence points?

I have all A's except the B in micro. I felt guilty but was so burnt out I was trying to push myself to study but was running off fumes you know? I am also a phlebotomist, Navarro county, etc. All adds up to be 30. I "plan" on making a 90 on teas so my goal is to apply with the 120. It's good to have all your classes done, hopefully we won't be so overwhelmed with the nursing courses. I started fall 2013 so yes I'm taking my time but wanted to play it smart with my toddlers. My sister also has two children and jumped right in with six classesthen couldn't handle it all.

That's great guys! I have 46 points to apply with and I'm hoping to get a 85 on the test lol. As long as I atleast get 120 application points I think I'll be ok. I'm happy that you are all sharing your journey. We can make it all future LVNs and RN's

46 for the adn program? That's crazy, congrats!

Yeah 46 is alot! Congrats. I think total I'll be applying with 105 points. Which I guess is on the low end of what you guys have. That is unless I go retake the teas test one more time.

If it's like last year you should be fine
