Hey just wanted to start a post for those who have gotten an interview for the August residency. I do a phone interview tomorrow and wonder if anyone has any info on what to expect or how to prep.

I've only driven through Houston when I went on a cruise a while back. I have no idea about areas and have been doing some research. Still have no idea. It's hard to narrow down what is the best place with traffic seeming to be such an issue. I'll be moving by myself for a few months and then moving the family later, so there is a bunch to think about. Any suggestions?
well do you have children if so how big is your whole family?and how much are you willing to spend? are you looking for house or apartment? if you pull up a map and type in the address for md anderson you can use that as your guide. word of advice stay away from 5th ward, 3rd ward, southwest side of town.

Actually, certain neighborhoods on SW side of town are not bad at all. Just depends on the neighborhood

I applied to this residency about a week ago. I heard they're supposed to do interview in mid August. It is for the fall residency, I'm not sure when it starts. If it starts in August that would be great! I'm a native Houstonian and graduated in May,already licensed. I have oncology experience which i made sure I highlighted on my application, but I still haven't recieved a call yet! I heard they phone screen first...still waiting...wish me luck!!
