Anyone applying?

I am currently in Cyfair's program. It is really an awesome program, but the standards are high and it not easy. Best thing to do during app process is to pull a score card off of the website and score yourself. Also...start your HEB B seris ASAP. I'll be happy to answer any questions that I can.

Also I know that with the change in the HESI requirements it has changes the outcome of the results because many people arent passing a section and that ruins it til the next application period.

I am applying this summer for the spring 2012. Anyone wanna share their Hesi scores. I got 11.34528 and I talked to the advisor at Kingwood and she said that the cut-off for the Quest was 10.6 and the LVN to ADN was 10 points. They both have the same requirements as the RN. I am HOLDING MY BREATH, I am not sure if I need to retake it or not. Everyone tells me that I should be fine. Has anyone taken Micro at Kingwood, its the only class I have left. I am taking it and pharm this fall!!!

Sorry mistype...i got 11.4528

I took the Hesi for UTA earlier this year, but will be retaking it next month for Lone Star. UTA didn't require the A&P portion of the Hesi, but I went ahead and took it, just to see what it was like. I definitely need to improve my score a few points to make the cut-off for Lone Star, but since I didn't study at all when I took it, I think I will do much better next month when I retest (keeping fingers crossed). UTA didn't require the Biology or Chemistry portions either, but I took those as well too.

I'll be turning in my score sheet with somewhere between 11.18 and 11.42 depending on how I do on the Hesi this time.

Good luck to everyone !!! I'm taking Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Development Psychology, Statistics and Nutrition this fall.

yea I didn't study much and got 11.45. I hope that is enough, i really think it will be because so many people are having trouble with the HESI this semester. Good luck with your semester. I am taking Microbiology, Pharmacology, college algebra and nutrition. Which campus will you be attending?

I'm taking Nutrition, and Dev. Psych from HCC and I'm taking Statistics, Pharm and Patho from UTA. Everything is online. This will be my last semester to study in my pj's (lol). Hopefully I'll be starting nursing school in January! Did you apply anywhere else?

well the application period starts on the 11th for Kingwood and I think montgomery. So i am going to apply to both, but Kingwood is my 1st choice. Then eventually I want to get my BSN an either apply to NP or Med school.

Hi All,

Just got off the phone with a very informative lady in the Cy-Fair Nursing Department. I was told that applicants are ranked by the computer, not by people. They don't even look at the applications until after the application period has ended, so it doesn't matter if you apply the first day or the last day. Applicants are ranked soley on the score card and the highest 50 applicants are accepted. I'm sure they add a few extra people as "waitlisted", because some students apply to more than one program and might be lucky enough to get accepted into more than one program. She also said that the higher Hesi requirements (over 75% on each section) has significantly reduced the number of people applying to the program.

I also called the main campus and found out that the home office in Conroe does all of the transfer evaluations now, not the individual campuses. They have apparently lost everyone in that department, and are WAY behind in getting transfer credits entered. If you have any classes that you didn't take at Lone Star (like me), I would stay on top of it to get them entered into the system.

Good Luck:)
