Baptist Health Systems RN program

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi! I am interested, and applying to San Antonio's Baptist Health Systems ADRN program for the fall. I can not seem to find any current information about acceptance rates and stats and when we find out if we are accepted. Little background on me, I have a BS and my husband is in the Army so we are in Alaska, but I am from SA. If anyone that has been there or knows of the program could give me a little insight I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks!

You're in luck. I go to the BSHP. I am currently in my 1st year and loving it. I am in the evening program. We go Mon. through Thur. 18:30 to 21:30 for lecture and Saturdays from 06:45 to 18:45 for clinicals. Then we have several classes during the day with 2 six hour clinicals per week. Most of the evening students are employed full or part time at various jobs. We only have 2 classes going at any one time during the year. This years senior students graduate this April, then my class will be the senior students when fall semester starts in Aug. One thing about Baptist is that all professors have at least a Master's degree in their field of work. Since you already have a BS you probably have most if not all the prereqs. out of the way.

Sorry, one other thing. Go to our website. http://bshp.edu. The website will guide you and it will have all the contact info and how to apply. See you at school.:D

Thank you so much for your reply! I am finishing up my last semester of pre req's right now, AP II and micro. What kind of acceptance rate do you think they have? How many students do they take each semester? I looking to do the daytime program. Still have to take the TEAS, taking it next Monday. Also, when did you find out you were accepted?

Final question I swear :) I hear they try and place you in a job at one of their hospitals, is this true and do you have any idea about what the starting pay might be? (My husband is in the need to know ASAP! :))
