Has anyone completed this program or is in it currently? I'm looking for some info about the school, hows the programs there and are nursing classes offered in the summer. Thanks :nurse:

Funny, I am wondering the same thing for the CNS program at Angelo State University. I hope you get some responses.

Did y'all ever find out anything on the FNP program at Angelo State? I have applied for fall admission and would like to hear anything about the program.

Specializes in Family Practice, Urgent Care.

I am currently enrolled in this program. I am about to begin my last year (grad - aug 2013). So far, I've enjoyed the program. As with most online FNP programs, you have to find your own preceptors. This was probably the most challenging/frustrating thing and I'm even from a large city in Texas. I will be the 3rd graduating class. I've spoken one person from the 1st graduating class (100% pass rate), and she enjoyed the program over all.

The school over all is a wonderful school. My boyfriend got his traditional bachelors from there and he loved all 4 years of the experience. It is now a part of texas tech for what thats worth.

The over all program is costing around $40,000 (I'm only working PRN). If you JUST take out loans for schools the program would probably only cost around $20,000 (gotta love public schools).

Classes are offered in the summer. I'm taking 3 courses this summer. I am going full-time to get the program completed ASAP. I began Fall 2011 and have classes through summer 2013. No breaks.

Best of luck, let me know if you have any specific questions!
