What's your experience taking TEAS V at a PSI Center?

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

I'm scheduled to take the TEAS V again next month, and I have to do it at a PSI center.

  • How is it different from taking it at a university's testing facility?
  • Do the scores automatically go to the ATI website "My Results"?
  • When reading passages, do they have a scrollbar (to read long passages for the Reading sections) or all actions are performed by a keyboard?
  • How many questions are in one page?

Sorry for these questions - I don't think the FAQs of the website answer my inquiries, and I'd like to be prepared as possible when I go there.

I've never taken the TEAS at a university, however my experience at the PSI center was a good one. There were other people at the testing center who I believe were there taking other exams (real estate, etc). The staff were helpful and straightforward. Told them I was there for the TEAS, they snapped my pic, got some info, and I went in to take the test. Once I placed all my items in a locker they allowed me in. I had my own cubicle and they provided ear buds too. The lighting in the room was this strange fluorescent hue but anyways that's not really of importance. I had the option to leave multiple times to use the restroom but it was for 5 minutes maximum.

Yes, they are accessible

  • When reading passages, do they have a scrollbar (to read long passages for the Reading sections) or all actions are performed by a keyboard?

I don't recall this.. I'm pretty sure there was. Either way, they allow you to get a feel for the way the test operates before you confirm that you are ready... It's awfully simple to navigate. You'll be fine.

  • How many questions are in one page?

There's only one question per page. When you choose your answer, you skip to the next page. You have the option to go back and choose different answers.

Thank you for your response~! I know what to expect now.
