How did you manage to study for the Teas while finishing up pre-reqs?

Nursing Students TEAS

I started studying for the teas about two weeks before spring semester started, I had plenty of time to study and was able to focus on only that. Now that spring semester has begun, I feel overwhelmed because I am stressing out over finding time to study for the teas, as well as studying for my final pre-reqs. Can anyone share with me about how they studied for the teas along with pre-reqs? Study strategies or how you often you studied for the teas?

Hi Katie, I am wanting answers too :( I am in Biology 202 and had time to study for the teas v test between semesters myself. I have about 42 days until my teas v test and freaks out everytime I think about it. I spend two days on each subject mines important are Math and Science and on the weekends English and Reading. I barely get to study for the teas test now that I am wanting to make sure I do good in Biology 202 and my Medical Terminology classes. I wanted to make sure I study for the whole book so I can feel ready but my husband told me to study for what I can because its better to study a few pages then to study a whole book and not know and understand something. I say take it one day at a time.

I also try to set aside 1 hour at lunch minus whatever it takes to finish my meal then when I get back at my desk to do a little more. I also try to get a little studying in when I go home but have a family to care for. I would make sure you do really good in your Pre reqs then go for a practice online test through ATI to see where you stand before you test. Hope all work out for you

I started studying about 3 mo before the test, setting aside an hour a day. I studied my harder subjects first--math being the main one. I did not register for a class during the last portion of summer semester, which gave me a couple weeks of study that were strictly set aside for the TEAS. Subsequently, I did well on the TEAS. I made the mistake of finishing up my Anatomy 2 and taking 2 semesters off to plan my wedding. I got rusty and had a hard time getting motivated enough to start studying for the TEAS. I started studying a little daily since last August and took the test Jan 8th and passed with a 72%. But let me tell you I will never do that approach again. If I had it to do over again I would of sucked it up and studied during my classes and not let all my knowledge get foggy like I did. I should of taken the TEAS while taking classes because that's when the info is fresh in your mind.
