Any direct-entry OHSU applicants?

Has anyone heard any news from OHSU?

I applied to the Advanced BS to Masters CNM program, and I am anxiously awaiting a letter.

I also applied to the ABM CNM program. I don't think we should be expecting letters until January or so... At least that's the impression I got when I went to an info. session in September. Good luck!!

I got in! Anybody else?

I did! (Last year actually, but couldn't move for family reasons so they let me defer my admittance until this year... Now I'm trying to decide between Yale and OHSU!) I think we need to head out there and visit in the next couple of weeks since my interview last year was on the phone. Do you have any reflections about the school? I love Portland and know that OHSU has a good reputation, but other than that don't have a very good sense of things (other than what I learned during my phone interview). What specialty are you in?

Sorry, I see now that you are going for the CNM track as well. ;) Maybe I will see you there! (Again, any reflections you might have about OHSU would be greatly appreciated! :nuke:)

Still waiting to hear something post-interview! I'm getting a little frustrated. I'm assuming I didn't get in, but who knows... JenniferMPH, was there a date that you had to let them know your acceptance by? I'm wondering if they're waiting to send out letters to the other interviewees until they hear from the applicants they know they're accepting? Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks!!

Hi Doulalove,

I'm sorry. I know that's frustrating. I have a close friend in the same shoes.

They asked us to notify them by 3/7. I asked for an extension to 3/14. But, I may not need it. I am leaning heavily toward Yale.

I think they do letters in tiers, and send out more after they hear from the previous round. So, hang in there.

Good luck, Jenn

Thank you! Sounds like I should know soon... I'm more anxious for the process to be over rather than whether or not I got in. Of course I'd be so happy if I was accepted, but the not knowing is really hard. Congrats to you, and good luck with whatever you decide :)
