2013 GHSU CNL applicants

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi! Anyone else out there apply for the 2013 Georgia Health Science University's CNL MSN program? I just submitted my application for the early decision Nov 1 deadline. Let's chat!

My first choice was Athens, and second choice was Augusta. I really hope its Athens, but I know its more competitive. I live in Evans too. I guess we will just have to wait a little bit longer to find out where the rest of us will be going :) How much information did they send ya'll in the admissions letter?

Yeah! I would like to know this too! How much stuff did you guys get?

Also, doesn't anyone know if we get any pell grants or hope money?

Thanks!

No. Graduate level degrees only qualify for federal student loans (unless you find private scholarships of course).

No mine didn't specifically say the Aug campus but that is the only one I chose and said I was unable to go to Athens so IM assuming that's where I'll go :) crossing my fingers lol

Ah okay! Same here!

I'm not sure what people got in this round of acceptance emails but I can tell you what I got in my acceptance letter back in December. It was basically just a congratulations letter and it stated that I would be starting this Fall at the Augusta campus. I had to fill in some information and mail back a deposit. It then had a website with an orientation video and a paper checklist of all the things that needed to be done like vaccinations, student loans, setting up a school email.

Since then I haven't heard anything about CPR classes, uniforms, books, etc. I did receive an email last week about applying for on-campus housing. I called admissions and asked about when we would get more information and she said that after April 1st we could call student services I think and they set-up orientations this summer. I'm not sure how accurate that is though because I always seem to get conflicting information there depending on who I talk to. I'm curious if anyone who just got accepted got more information about CPR classes, uniforms, etc.

How much was the deposit?

I think it was $100. You had to send it in within 2 weeks of receiving the admissions letter to secure your place.

I'm not 100% percent sure, but I remember orientation is in August. Maybe then we might learn more information. I think those of us who just found out we got accepted haven't received anything yet. I say I think because I just got the word via email and we would get official stuff later.

Thanks to those who helped answer questions. Anyone know about how much for just the program now? I would hate to borrow more than enough.

Last time I looked it was about $5600 a semester without all the fees. You can always reject the amount later or repay immediately. I saw on the new website (with a lot of looking) that the start date is Aug 19? I think. It's around that time. No new info on next years tuition.

Hey y'all! Just joining the conversation...I have been accepted into the Athens campus to begin this fall! Look forward to meeting y'all!
