Any time when you had a touchy situation in dealing with doctors?I am a new grad nurse and I have an interview for a position in L&D...my dream career! - Oct 9, '12 by knufflebunnyYes, my interview is tomorrow. I'll be practicing and researching questions all day!
For the stress questions, I am planning on saying that it's important to stay focused on my patients and priorities. If I need a minute to myself, I'll take it. Sometimes just that minute is all I need to refocus.
What do you think?
Thanks for the info and I will definitely post back and let you know how it goes! - Oct 9, '12 by itsnoworneverQuote from knufflebunnyGood, but saying you will take a minute on your own is rather scary when you have a baby crowning! Find an example of a stressful time and what quick thinking you did to deal with it or solve the problem.Yes, my interview is tomorrow. I'll be practicing and researching questions all day!

- Oct 9, '12 by itsnoworneverQuote from knufflebunnyThe only reason I say emergency situations is because thats what a stress question was based about for me--- for being a new grad in L&D how would I handle the stress of a mom/baby suddenly going bad? What would I do? Emotionally how would I react to the stress? What situations have been stressful that I've handled? I also got the "How do you handle communicating with an MD who isn't that kind either?"Okay thanks! I was thinking more about stress with co-workers/doctors/patients, etc. Not emergency situations. But I will come up with an example to describe it! Thanks!
