In trouble with diversion

Nurses Recovery

Published

My lawyer wants me to write a letter to the attorney general in my defense as he wants my license. I have admitted to diversion and am an addict. He originally was ging to drop it all because im successful in a monitoring program. Now he wants blood. I have ideas on what to say, & I deserve punishment. Just not my license taken away. Sober 2 plus years. The problem is that im doing all the right things NOW instead of then. Any tips? I want my remorse & ownership to ring through loud n clear without sounding whiney. Any advice, and prayers, most appreciated. 10 years as an RN is hard to throw away. Thank you.

I think honesty is always the best. I hope they will see that you are doing your best and deserve to keep your license. Prayers!
