Frat off, thank you in advance to those who respond. I would like to know personal experiences with addiction evaluations that are required by the BON.. specifically in Arkansas if possible. Some things I would like info on: do they drug test you? If so is it a urine screening? How many visits are required (can it be determined in one visit that you don't have an addiction)? What kind of questions are asked? Is there a physical evaluation? Etc.. I would like to know what to expect prior to an appointment.

For me (in Texas) there was no drug test and no physical exam. It was all a psychological type exam, where I answered about three different questionnaires that each had 200-300 questions (multiple choice), and an interview with the psychologist. The written questions took maybe two hours or so, then the interview was after he'd reviewed my answers to the questionnaires, and that took another 45 min to an hour. Cost me $300. It was all done in one visit. The questions on the written part were all personality questions like what types of situations are you comfortable with, what makes you happy, all those touchy feely kinds of questions you get on those questionnaires that try to tell you if you're an extrovert/introvert etc. The in person interview was much more specific about what had happened that made me end up in his office, as well as info about my childhood, parents, siblings, marriage, home life etc.

From Ar and yes...girl from Texas is right. Just psych questions and an interview. Advice...lie. If your honest and say, yes I drink on occasion and sometimes get 'too drunk' then it will be twisted around to insinuate that you have addictive tendencies and the test is overall bs. This is why you have to use the arsbn selected therapists. It is standard test and will result in probation anyway...can you tell I'm a little jaded? Lol. Best of luck
