Nurses Recovery

Published

After a YEAR OF DELAYS... I am due to get reinstated mid May. Part of me is excited. Part of me is TERRIFIED. I am worried about finding a job and explaining myself. I am going to attempt dialysis centers first, because I don't believe they deal with narcotics. Anyone from Ohio that has any advice on finding a job after reinstatement?

I already have letters of recommendation being written. I don't even know how to go about handling the "I'm a disciplined nurse" conversation. I know someone will give me a chance... at least I hope they will.

Took a little time

Finally got a face to face interview

Went in with confidence

Humbly "explained myself"

GOT THE JOB!

WOO!

Specializes in ER/ICU.

What type of nursing are you doing?

I just entered the world of dialysis. I have only worked in the emergency department as an RN, this is going to be a lot different than what I am used to. I am excited to learn new things, I am also nervous. Emergency nursing was my niche, until I got myself in trouble I never thought I would work in any other area. The company I work for is wonderful and I am thankful they decided to add me to their team. LET'S DO THIS!!

I have always done ER. I wanted to do dialysis but haven't been able to even get an interview. I don't see where there are many job openings here in Phoenix for same. I miss the ER but maybe it was just my time to move on...
