Transplant Floor advice

Hi all,

I am graduating soon and trying to decide on where to work. A hospital has shown interest in me to work on their transplant floor. I was wondering if anybody else here has experience working on a floor like that or can give me some advice? Im not really sure what they all do on a transplant floor.

Since I'm a new grad I would really like to learn a lot from my first job. I really want a job that is challenging so I can learn a lot and gain experience. I was curious if working a transplant floor would be able to give me a good foundation that will allow me to transfer to another floor such as ICU in the future. Any advice? Thanks!

I have some experience with working on a transplant floor and I think the experience is excellent. So much to learn and an interesting and challenging patient population. Great opportunity to build relationships with patients and also for patient teaching. I would say would offer great experiences to take with you to an ICU. Good Luck!!!
