MDS 3.0 Delay?

Guess we SHOULD BELIEVE WHAT WE READ... at least what is on the CMS 3.0 website...

I am in indiana and asked my state coordinator this week when we could expect the training for 3.0.....she said she had tentatively scheduled training sessions thru out the state and then was notified that the "train the trainer"session she was to attend in baltimore had been postponed and she is waiting to see when it will be rescheduled. she said officially she has not been notified of a change in the launch date of oct 1.....so i guess it is anyone's guess. those of you who are working with the 3.0 now...how is it going? i have looked at the new 3.0 and frankly i am curious as to how it is all coming together.

I am also in Indiana and have spoke with the state mds coordinator and a few of my other consultant contacts and the impression that I have got is there is a few things that CMS wants to tweak before they train the trainer. Most of the coordinators can start looking at training mid May and it sounds as if the the implementation date will be 10/1/09.
