Clarifications to March 2012 National Provider Conference presentation

CMS is putting out an email blast which will state the following:

Based on some initial feedback, CMS has discovered a few minor errors that have since been corrected. A revised memo, version 1.1, will soon be posted to the SNF PPS website to replace the existing version of the document. The changes are as follows:

Page 2, Paragraph 3 has been revised to make clear that if a scheduled assessment's ARD is set for on or prior to day 7 of the COT observation period, the COT OMRA is not required but that facilities may elect to complete a combined scheduled assessment/COT OMRA;

Page 5, Paragraph 3 has been revised to correct Example 3. "Days 11, 12, and 13" should read "Days 12, 13, and 14" and the early COT would begin paying from "Day 15" rather than "Day 14";

Page 6, Paragraph 6 has been revised to correct the late COT ARD. The late COT ARD should be "Day 49" not "Day 39".

These revisions will appear in the Version 1.1 memo to be posted to the SNF PPS website and will also be announced on the upcoming SNF ODF on April 12. We apologize for any confusion these errors might have caused.
