Need Info on Grants for 2nd Degree Nursing Students

U.S.A. Georgia

Would like to know where to look for Grants and general financial aid for second degree nursing students. I know I don't qualify for the Pell Grant since I already have a degree, but I just want to know if there were any other sources out there. Your help is appreciated!!!

Hmmm....I am not sure about 2nd degree students...I took advantage of the Georgia Hope Scholarship but I think that ends at around 120 credit hours so you probably are close to that with your other degree. I also took advantage of the service cancellable stafford loans. You apply each year once you get into the actual nursing program. Apply early!!!!! Many of my friends did not get it because they waited too long. I got approved for both years I have been in the NGCSU program ($2500 each year). You have to work for one year in the state for each year you take the loan but there are no strings attached. If you stay in the state and work, great.....But if you move you just pay the loan back at the standard stafford loan rate.

This site may give you some insight.....

Hope this may help.....

P.S. Ask questions from everyone about financial aid....I found out that I applied for Hope even though I was 38 by word of mouth. I also found out about the service cancellable loans the same way..... :p
