GPC admission requirements

I am freaking out!!!! I am applying to GPC's Fall 2010 class and I just got my NET score (composite-83, reading comp.-73). These scores are above the admission requirements according to the nursing dept. website, however I need to have an idea of what the average student at GPC scored to get admission. My GPA is 3.6 by the way. I was hoping to do better on the NET, and I still have time to take it again if this score is not high enough, but I just need to get some sense of what is good enough, and what isn't. Thanks guys.

Well, I got a letter about a month ago??? It said we should have acceptance/denial letters by April 31st. Good luck!

I got a letter stating that I had completed everything and my file would be considered. That was early January but I haven't heard anything since. Good luck to you!

I originally applied for spring 2010 and got accepted but I had to defer to Fall...so I am waiting again for the THICK envelope..it only took a little over a month for them to reply..so hopefully we should know something soooooon. Good luck everyone..hope we all get in and start a study group

Ahhh so acceptance letters come in a thick envelope? Hmmm that is nerve-racking. I really hope we get the letters soon. My net score barely meets the minimum requirments. :(

Yes the old nursing student cliche..."If its thin you DIDN'T Get in" is quite TRUE. Don't worry about your NET only because I have had people just go 1 point over the NET requirement

..if you got the letter saying that your NET scores qualify you on to the next step then you are good. One of my friends had a 3.91 GPA and failed the NET and did not have a chance to even be considered. Just keep thinking positive and let's pray we all get in this FALL..I am so ready, taking the deferment acutually allowed me to tie up ALLLLL of my loose ends. Things happen for a reason.

Do you remember what your stats were when you were accepted? GPA, Science GPA, etc. (if you don't mind sharing). I am very nervous!

Well I went to look for my acceptance letter for Spring 2010 to find out when they mailed it but I could not locate it. However, if I can remember the deadline was June 15 and I found out the later part of July and they said we would know by August 30. So if they take the same amount of time we should know pretty soon. I do remember it was a Friday though. It was the BEST Friday I ever had. LOL. As for my stats. I don't know how they caculate but I took Chem I & II with labs and got A in labs and B in class...A&P I and II with labs A and B for Labs and B for the classes Patho I got an A..micro and Patho didn't count because I didn't take it till fall but I got A's in lab and class. As for my other prereqs...I have A & B's and I think about 3 c's.

As for my NET..all I know is that I met the requirements I don't think it was high. I pretty much just did the best that I could and PRAYED like crazy.

What are your stats?
