Falsely accused of Abuse! What should I do?

this morning I was falsely accused by an elderly resident of abuse! I am so upset and angry because I was told it is being reported to the state and I am supposedly off the schedule until the investigation is done, for something I did not do at all. what should I do? Get a lawyer? Call who? how does this affect my LPN license? All questions, please someone help. Thanks

The best place to seek such advice would be a lawyer or the board of nursing. No one is allowed to answer such questions here at allnurses. I wish you all the best. Keep in mind that there is a difference between being accused and being found guilty.
