Basically there isn't really any new information. They said there will be an open house June 21, 1 pm at each campus. Orientation will be mandatory and that will be August 15-16. They said they should have supply, book and uniform information at the open house. They are also working on updating the laptop requirements. Also, they also mentioned not getting the PPD and the BCLS certification till after the end of May so that it will remain active until the next academic year. Other than that, they were pretty vague on everything else. :-/
Thank you for the info!! I was unable to attend the webinar!

Hey guys! Congratulations to all you on your acceptance! I'm new to this forum and have a bit of an issue. I just received my acceptance letter for the BSN program at the Augusta campus at Georgia regents. I have also been accepted into Clayton State program and have already registered for classes. My first concern is that I'm a new driver ( being at Ga State and riding Marta and other things downtown, I really didn't do much driving. Lol). I know that clinicals for the Augusta campus will be at the surrounding hospitals which are really close, as supposed to Clayton State where they're held at different hospitals held in Atlanta. My other issue is that I have already made arrangements for on campus housing at Clayton State, but due to the clinical sites, I'm reluctant and think it's in my best interest to go the Georgia regents since clinicals are close. Do any of y'all know how the housing is? I thought about moving into University Housing (Augusta State's housing) but don't know far it is away from the health sciences campus.
If any of you have advice, I'd really appreciate it. I just hate feeling indecisive right now. :/
The university housing is about 5 to 10 minutes away but pretty much a straight shot. The former mcg housing is really close to the school but I would not want to live down town

I agree! I would much rather live at the university housing than downtown. The housing downtown looks awful! They are more like dorms. The university housing is more like apartments. I think they have a pool also.

Has anyone talked to financial aid or have any information about when they will process it?

Thank you all for replying!! So my best bet is to apply for university village housing... Do any of you know if the 2bedroom 2bath goes quickly? When I talked to housing, they just told me it'd be on a first-come-first-served basis. Oh and does the shuttle drive from the university village to campus? Will our classes be on both campuses or just the health sciences campus? (sorry for all of the questions) lol

I am not sure how fast they go. I'm pretty sure the shuttle picks up and drops off there. Do you have a car? The traffic is not bad in Augusta. I know you said that you do not like to drive in atl, but Augusta is not as busy and scary. Our classes will be just on the health sciences campus. I am not sure where the clinicals will be. I think they will be all over this area.

I sent mine in like March 29th and when I log into PULSE I don't see anything yet. I figured I would give them time to transition and everything. I am trying to have some patience

Thank you for your help! I just recently got my car, so I'm fairly new at driving. I hope to get accustomed to it this summer and when moving to Augusta. Hopefully, there will be housing left over at university village, considering me just getting my acceptance within the last few days. *fingers crossed*

Hello everyone! Congrants to everyone for getting accepted! I applied at Augusta State last year and was put on the alternates list and was never called. I was preparing to apply this year, but took the teas at the last mintue and was 5 points away from the national score. I am so discouraged right now, but I have made up my mind to ace this test and be prepared for next year. My question to you all is what is the best way to get higher scores on this test. My lowest scores were math and science but I would love to score much higher on all of them. Do you guys recommend any books besides the ati book? If you all can please give some advice on each section of the teas.

I toon the TEAS three times before I made a score I was happy with. The first time I did not take it seriously, hardly studied and made a 72%. The second time I took it I used a McGraw Hill study book for five weeks and only made a 75%. The last time I used ATI's book, which I rented by the way, and made an 82%. In my opinion it is the best and most similar to the test. Just study everyday, a little at a time. You will do better if you are diligent.

    Best of luck!!!

Thanks so much JB. I have been studying the book and plan to not take the test until July or August. Do you know how many times one can take the test?
