What kind Stethoscope I buy???

Hello everyone...I'm looking for Stethoscopes. I know Littmann is the way to go, but which one? Classic??? Cardiology??? Your input would be greatly appreciated!

It really doesn't matter...it's all about your preference. A cardiac one is nice though!!

I splurged and got a cardiac one and the sound quality is phenomenal. If you can spare the extra cash, it's totally worth it.

I have the Littmann Classic S.E. II and most of my class and alot of nurses in the hospital use them as well. It's a great stethescope right in the middle of the price scale. It also comes in all kinds of fun colors :) The best place to order is medisave.net. It was the cheapest by far and they do free engraving. Mine has my name with hearts. I'm so girly! Haha

I have learned that a little extra goes a long way with stethoscopes. I recommend spending the extra on a Littmann. Some of the less expensive ones can be more difficult to hear with or at least they were for me.

Thanks everyone...I ordered the classic from medisave! It's really pretty and the diaphragm is rainbow and engraved. I checked around and they had the BEST price. Thanks for the advice@

Actually if you looked a little harder you might have found Majors Books, who's prices beat medisave and most other online stores for nearly all of the Littmann stethoscopes, no engraving though. Since engraving will not prevent theft I did not need it. ..... 3M Littmann Stethoscopes | Master Cardiology | Master Classic II | STC | Select | Lightweight | Electronic. Luckily for me they are local in Dallas so I can get to see the scopes before buying.
