Utica college absn current opinions?

I was recently accepted into Utica college and was initially very excited because I applied only a few weeks ago after being wait listed by u of r. But I've had mixed feelings about this school I was wondering if they give you support or do you have to teach yourself everything because it's online. I need good teachers and all the other posts have said how horrible they all are. Any more recent opinions?!

Did you end up attending Utica? Do you have any insite? I got accepted for the Spring and I really think I am going to go.

I didn't pass their program, and not from lack of trying. There honestly isn't that much support. You do mainly teach yourself theory and the lab rarely coincides completely with the lecture portion. They go through instructors pretty regularly, mainly because I think they put too much pressure on them, which stinks because a lot of them were pretty good. The administration also changed some procedures mid-semester.

If you do decide to go there, please be aware that you'll be teaching yourself mostly everything. If that's the kind of student you are, then that's great! It did not work for me though. I'm starting a traditional ADN in January and starting over.

Thanks for replying! I am so sorry to hear about how it went with the program. The more I hear about the program the more nervous I get. I still have to hear back from 3 other schools so I guess if I don't get in to the others it may be my only option. I guess we will just have to see how it goes.

Thanks again for getting back to me!

No problem! If you have any specific questions, feel free to private message me.

Hello I just received an acceptance for the spring semester as well. I'm really nervous about this program from all the current reviews. This school seems like the best option for me Is anyone currently in the program now ? any advice in regards to passing these classes ?

I did not end up going to the school after I paid the non-refundable $200 deposit. I felt too reluctant about the program especially considering the majority of it was online so it just didn't make sense to me to pay that much and have to teach myself. My friend is in the program right now and she has made it so far but I haven't gotten too many details from her.

Ugh, that sucks that you paid the deposit and decided not to go. Are you going to continue into a different program?

I was recently accepted to University of Rochesters program. I will be starting there in January. Have you heard back from any other programs?
