Unity Day

Okay, so last year, our instructors cajoled us into going to our state capital (Charleston, WV) for Unity Day, in part to lobby for reforms in mandatory overtime. Frankly, I thought it was kind of a joke and a waste of time.

Since then, I've started following these boards and I'm seeing the value of activism. I didn't realize we were fairly special in passing a ban on mandatory OT, or how many other issues need to be addressed. So now, Heaven help me, I'm thinking I probably will go back for Unity Day, this year.

I'm also noticing there are a number of WV nurses posting, here. Anyone else going to be there? Any interest in saying howdy? I was thinking of something like printing an allnurses.com logo and sticking it to those folders they hand out (if Brian doesn't mind the use of the trademark.)

I at least had the impression Unity Day was a nationwide deal--maybe others would like to do the same. What do you think?
