Does most of the class get the same percentage as you on tests at times?

A few days ago we took a big test, & the class statistics after the test were at 70%, which is what I got also about, also.

Isnt that strange most of us got low C's, or is that of the norm? :uhoh3:

And average of 70% doesn't mean most got a 70. That's the average including highs and lows.

A median is more representative of what most people scored, but not quite.

But I guess it's better to be average than below!

On our first Med Surg test, 4 out of 27 passed the exam. Thankfully I was one of the four. There is no forgiveness on our exams either. No point in arguing the grade in our class!

Specializes in ER, ICU, Cardiac, Med-Surg.

75% or above is passing in my program. On our first test this semester, we had 2 A's out of 90 students. Many failed. The median grade was 78%. I got an 83, which is a C+. Last semester I had an A average. One of our instructors chastised us. She said that if we don't change our study habits, they expect that we will drop at least a letter grade from the first second semester. I am trying to figure out what to do differently.
