not to rub it in for those of you who are not in my situation.... but my clinical instructor is wonderful. she is so passionate about nurisng and really cares about and encourages us. so there are some like her out there!!!

good for you. There is nothing better than having a great instrutor. I had one in my third semester and I will be thankful for the rest of my career for what she taught me. I wish they could all be that good. Yes there are great teachers out there. Enjoy it while you can and take advantage of her knowledge ask many many many questons.:yeah:

I'm pretty lucky this class too--my clinical instructor (who also happens to be our lecture instructor) is very positive and upbeat. She's bending over backwards to make sure we get as much out of the Mother-Baby rotation as possible. Granted, she's also tough--you BETTER know your stuff (or know where to find the answer stat) because she will ask you questions and expect answers before the day is done.

It almost makes me want to go into L&D nursing...almost--I don't know how I'm going to handle being in the labor room watching a birth. Heck, the epidural was turned on high for my son's birth so I don't remember much about it...I definitely wasn't watching though :D
