Scholarship Info/Periop Nursing

Greetings all. Hope this gets posted since it is my first time posting. Just wanted to let all the student nurses aware of the scholarships available through AORN (Association of Perioperative Nurses, Inc). We really want to get the word out about our scholarships and encourage you to apply. Next year's deadline for applicants will be May 31. The application form should be up and online by the end of October.

For anyone interested in a career in perioperative nursing, we have student membership for $20.00/yr. (This includes an outstanding monthly journal!) You can sign-up online.

So from medical terminology peri means around. Is perioperative nursing OR nursing? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm just a student!! The scholarships are awarded in May for the following school year? Thanks for posting, we are all starving students here, and can use the help!
