SCCSC ADN Spring 2017

Nursing Students General Students

Published

Anyone planning to apply for the ADN program at Spartanburg Community College for the spring 2017 semester?

Yes I did! What was your total point if don't mind me asking?

Not really related to this post, but I figured it'd be a great idea for me to keep in touch with current students accepted into the ADN program and others that are applying for Fall 2017- like myself.

Fortunately after taking a long, much needed break from school all together, I've decided to give it another shot. I wish I would have known about this school and their ADN program long before I applied to other schools for nursing. Although things didn't work out for me last time, I've learned so much from the other ADN program I was in. I have all of my pre-reqs finished and two semesters of nursing school experience, so I definitely know how hard it can be and how hard I must work this time around. After being SO discouraged (I made all D's my second semester- which is against most nursing programs policy), I decided to take some time and figure out if nursing is what I really want to do. Long story short, here I am giving this another try because I know I REALLY want this and I have many goals set for myself in this career. I live about three hours away from Spartanburg/Greenville and will be moving in July. I'm hoping with a new school, new surroundings, and with everything I've been through concerning school in general...I'll be much more prepared and at my very best .

PLEASE (everyone) keep me up to date on your experiences with this school and how the program is for you. Also, I SUCK at Pharm. and at times figuring out my dosage calculations (which I know we need to know for a test each semester or quarter) can get pretty tricky- because I second guess myself often- so any tips/tricks would be very much appreciated. Crossing my fingers that I'll be accepted into the program for Fall 2017! Hopefully we can stick together and work as a team because sadly I did not have that at my last school.

Good luck to you all & stay in touch! :-)
